Our Journey to Senegal and Liberia

Let me go ahead and answer the obligatory after mission trip questions. We stayed healthy. The food was incredible. The weather was good - windy and cool in Senegal, hot in Liberia, downright cold in Brussels. We traveled well together even though none of us had been on trip together before. The flights were numerous, often tiring, but smooth. Our accommodations were unexpectedly comfortable. The roughest part was taking cold showers and bucket baths.

We went on this trip to visit with DBC mission partners, see their ministry, encourage the believers, and pray about future ways DBC can partner with them - sending teams, providing other resources, helping them accomplish their goals, etc.

We saw a lot, learned a lot, and observed two very different ministries. There is so much to reflect upon and consider from the 11 days we were gone. In the coming days we will post thoughts, photos and video from the trip.
