We only spent 4 days in each country with travel time in between. While in Senegal, our interpreter was David Adejo, a passionate young pastor leading a growing house church network in Dakar.
Trained and educated here in the U.S., Adejo was born in Nigeria and married a Senegalese woman. They have a 10 month old boy which we met the last night in the country.
We spent one evening talking with David and several other pastors outside under a tree. They had great questions about how we do missions and the influence of money. David had some insightful comments about doing house churches in the city. We were intrigued because of the growing influence of house churches in the U.S. and the common ideas we heard from him. He also shared some helpful ideas about sharing the gospel with Muslims.
We hope to keep in touch with David as his organic church network continues to grow. David travels with Abba to the villages and also disciples people in prisons. He is a talented musician as well.
